Keeping Your App Up to Date
We update The Great Big Yawn regularly with new features and improvements. Here's how to make sure you always have the latest version on your phone.
๐จ Seeing a Blank White Page?
This usually means your browser has cached an older version of the app. A hard refresh fixes it instantly:
๐ป On a computer
Press Ctrl + Shift + R (Windows / Linux)
or Cmd + Shift + R (Mac)
๐ฑ On your phone
Close the app fully by swiping it away, then reopen it from your browser. If still blank, clear your browser cache (see steps below).
Opening the app in a private / incognito window also works instantly.
Quick Fix โ Try This First
- 1Close the app completely on your phone (swipe it away from recent apps)
- 2Reopen your browser (Safari on iPhone, Chrome on Android)
- 3Visit the app URL again
- 4If it still looks old, follow the steps for your device below
iPhone / iOS
- Open Safari and go to the app URL
- Tap the Share button (โก with arrow)
- Tap "Add to Home Screen"
- Delete the old icon from your home screen first if needed
Clear cache: Settings โ Safari โ Clear History and Website Data
Android
- Open Chrome and go to the app URL
- Tap the three dots menu (โฎ) top right
- Tap "Add to Home Screen" or "Install App"
- Delete the old icon first if you have one
